I am Yafet Tesfaye, a student entrepreneur and the founder of Awud Digitals—a technology company focused on building software platforms, digital infrastructure and AI-powered ecosystems that solve real-world problems across Africa. My journey began with a passion for design, development and technology. What started as creating websites and digital experiences quickly evolved into a larger vision: building products that can serve thousands of users, empower organizations and create opportunities for the next generation of African innovators. Today, I lead the development of multiple platforms under the Awud Digitals ecosystem, combining technology, design, business strategy and artificial intelligence to create solutions that scale beyond individual projects.

“What infrastructure is missing, and how can we build it better?”
That mindset led to the creation of Awud Digitals—not as a freelance brand, but as a founder-led technology company focused on long-term product development. Along the journey, I have worked on websites, digital platforms, creative systems, educational technology, AI integrations and software products designed to help organizations operate more efficiently and grow faster. I also had the opportunity to represent a startup initiative at a national technology event attended by the Ethiopian Prime Minister, an experience that reinforced my belief that African innovators can build products capable of competing on a global stage. Today, every project, platform and innovation contributes to one larger mission: creating technology that empowers people, businesses and institutions across Africa.
